Seven allotment sites
There are seven allotment sites in the Corsham area; they are:- The Ridge at Neston, Pickwick Manor, The Grove, Cross Keys, Middlewick Lane, Garden of Remembrance and Priory Cross.
Corsham Town Council has approximately 100 allotments in total. The plots are let in either full or part plots, rent is £36 per annum for a plot over 100m2 and £30 for a plot under 100m2. At Priory Cross, where there is no water available, the price is £19.
Water is available on all sites, except Priory Cross, Corsham. All rents must be paid annually, in advance, each spring, to the Council office at the Town Hall, Corsham.
Tenants are expected to keep their allotments in a reasonably tidy condition and sites are inspected annually by the Council, usually in the late spring.
At the present time there is a long waiting list for plots. However the Council is constantly on the lookout for additional land which could be leased and made available for use as allotment sites.
Any person interested in renting a plot should contact the Council Office at the Town Hall, Corsham or .
