Coppershell Play Area

Coppershell Recreation Ground has a range of equipment for 3 to 12 year olds as well as a kickabout area. The Town Council replaced some of the safer surfacing in 2003 and 2007.

Wooden equipment at Coppershell Play Area was becoming very old and costly and difficult to maintain. New equipment was purchased in 2006. The new equipment selected by Gastard Toddler Group is metal and has rubber safety surfacing making it a safer more enjoyable place to play. Gastard Sunday School Trust, Gastard Village Hall Committee and Gastard Toddler Group all contributed funds which were then supplemented by Corsham Town Council and North Wiltshire District Council.

Corsham Town Council is also installing new safety surfacing at some of its other Play Areas including Neston Recreation Ground, Dicketts Road, Westwells and Meriton Avenue Recreation Ground at a cost of nearly £15,000.
