Corsham in Bloom
Corsham In Bloom
Corsham Town Council is fully supporting the town’s entry into the Britain in Bloom competition. In previous years Corsham has won a silver gilt, in 2009 we are hoping to improve on this.
A major part of the judging criteria is the involvement of the local community, either through the beauty of private gardens or community projects which enhance the appearance of the town and neighbouring villages.
If you are currently undertaking any projects, have ideas which you feel would benefit the Town's entry or wish to become actively involved please contact Emma Hucklebridge on ehucklebridge@corsham.gov.uk

Neighbourhood awards – This initiative is proving to be one of the more successful ventures in South West in Bloom. The idea is to reward groups or clubs for their hard work in successful ongoing schemes. This could include things such as a gardening club, school club, a community event, a litter pick or any other that can be thought of.
Children’s Painting Competition – This competition has been run for a number of years now with hundreds of entries received each year. The competition is for young people up to the age of 16 to draw, paint or make a picture to fit in with the theme. The picture will be judged as part of Corsham in Bloom as well as being sent to the regional Competition South West in Bloom. The theme this year is ‘Dig it, Grow it, Cook it & Eat it’ Further details available soon.
Corsham In Bloom Competitions - Alongside the South West in Bloom Competition Corsham in Bloom also holds its own competitions for the people of the town. The categories include Best Public Building or Structure, Best Commercial Building, Best Public House or Club, Best Residential flats and Communal Residences, Best Residential Front Garden and Best Residential Container Garden. Entry Forms and information will be available at the town hall or on the web site soon.
