Leisure & Amenities

 

The Leisure Committee
The Leisure Committee consists of up to 12 councillors, it is responsible on behalf of the council for:
*             The maintenance, improvement and, where appropriate, the generation of income from the leisure sites and equipment thereon which are under the Town Councils control.
*             Recommending changes and terms upon which use will be permitted.
*             Setting estimates for the forthcoming year and managing the Council approved budgets.
*             Devising, recommending and managing any ad hoc social/leisure activities in the town, e.g. Summer Fete and Christmas Lights Switch on Event.
The main areas of responsibility are: - Recreation Grounds, Springfield and the Tennis Courts.

 

The Amenities Committee

The Amenities Committee The Amenities Committee consists of up to 12 councillors, it is responsible, on behalf of the council for:
*             The maintenance, improvement and where appropriate, generation of income from the buildings and amenities sites under Town Council Control.
*             Recommending changes and conditions for permitted use.
*             Setting estimates for the forthcoming year and managing the Council approved budgets.
The main areas of responsibility are :- The Town Hall, Arnold House, The Guide Hut, Bus Shelters, Church Yards, Footpaths, Cemetery, War Memorials, Garden of Remembrance, Centenary Garden, Tree Planting, Corsham in Bloom, Beechfield Nature area, The Batters, Neston Triangle, Litter Collection, Street Lighting, Transport and Highways and CCTV.
