Spring Walks 2012

This year's led walks around the parish will start on Sunday 4 March. The walk will take in Corsham Park, Westrop and Easton. Meet at 2pm at the Bus Stop by The Co-Op in Newlands Road. A full list of the walks, fortnightly from 1 April to 13 May, is available here

Springfield - Corsham Community Campus

Wiltshire Council will be developing the current Springfield site in Corsham to create a 'community campus' providing a number of services for the Corsham community area all under one roof. The campus will include leisure, adult social care, youth services, a library, a cafe and internet services. Locating several services on one site will result in long-term savings in running and maintenance costs.

Wiltshire Council originally asked Corsham Community Area Network (CCAN) and Corsham Town Council to consult with local residents and likely users of a new campus. Follwing the two public meetings in November and December 2010, a report was put together and submitted to Wiltshire Council. The report featured comments expressed at the meetings along with views expressed in written statements, comments and a petition. A copy of the report is available to read at the Town Hall or can be downloaded here. In May 2011 CCAN produced a report on the second round of consulation, which can be downloaded here.

Town Council Community Grants

The Town Council is inviting local groups to apply for grants of between £50 and £500 that support projects of benefit to the Town. Community Grant Information

The Toolkit is a free information resource for people who want to get involved in organising smaller, straightforward community activities and aims to make volunteering more simple.
