Following the successful Armed Forces Day celebrations, representatives from SSAFA were presented with a cheque for £400. The money has been raised by local groups and businesses at the Armed Forces Day Fete.

Freedom of the Town and Armed Forces Day

On Armed Forces Day, Saturday, 26 June 2010, 'all Military Units, Corsham' were presented with the Freedom of the Town. This was the first time the Town Council had granted the Freedom of the Town and recognised Corsham's long connection with the military and the Ministry of Defence. The march through town and the celebrations at Springfield Rec later were attended by hundreds of people, all helping to show their support for the town's Armed Forces.

 

Corsham Farmers' Market - 21 August

The Farmers' Market will take place on Saturday, 21 August, in the High Street, from 9am-1pm. Come and discover a wealth of local produce. And don't forget the weekly market, every Tuesday, from 8am-3pm.

 

Corsham Town Council's Grants for Community Groups

The Town Council is inviting local groups to apply for grants of between £50 and £500 that support projects of benefit to the Town. Community Grant Information

Corsham Town Council's Year of Walks - 1 August 2010

The next in the Town Council's Year of Walks will take place on Sunday 1 August. This time it's a Film Location Walk, looking at the various places around town that have appeared on film and TV. Meet at 2.30pm at the Town Hall. Please wear suitable clothing and bring a drink with you.
