Police & Community Safety
Corsham is safe and relatively free of crime and anti-social behaviour. We can only maintain this situation with the help of both residents and visitors.
Police
Corsham has its own police station, in Priory Street, staffed by officers and community support officers who regularly patrol the town and nearby villages. If for any reason you need to contact them then you can do this via the yellow phone outside the station, which will connect you free of charge with the regional control centre. The station itself does not have a reception.
A further direct line is situated in the library in Pickwick Road. The library can also answer many of the most frequently asked questions of the police which do not require an officer
Alternatively you can contact the control centre via their non emergency number 0845 408 7000. Wiltshire police’s website can be accessed on www.wiltshire.police.uk In case of an emergency dial 999.
Any SMALL items of lost property found can be handed into the library. This will be recorded and passed onto the police.
The Town Council has particular concerns about speeding traffic in the Town. Incidences can be reported to Wiltshire Police by telephone (0845 4087000) or email (crimestoppers@wiltshire.pnn.police.uk). Alternatively, you can report your concerns to the Town Council by email (ip@corsham.gov.uk). Please provide as much information as possible including date, location, time and description of the vehicle.
