War Memorial

Corsham's main war memorial, situated on the junction of Lacock Road, Pickwick Road and Pound Pill, was built to honour local people who lost their lives in World War I and World War II. It is the focal point of the annual Remembrance Day Parade held in November.

In 2008 three local sonemasosns, (Neil Gray, Rob Fleming from Masonry & Conservation Ltd and John Harrod from JKH Masonry Cleaning) donated their services free of charge to refurbish the Memorial. These craftsmen have ensured this memorial constructed of local stone, remains a unique and fitting monument to those who fought for the country.
