Community Awards

The Town Council’s Community Awards were launched in 2011 to celebrate those who make a difference to the Corsham community. Over the years, clubs, groups, hard-working volunteers, young people and local sports stars have all been recognised.

The search for award recipients runs from January to March when nomination forms for that year’s competition are available. The Awards Panel then considers the nominees, made up of four Town Councillors, who choose the winners. The certificates are handed out at a special Corsham Celebrates event (previously the Annual Town Meeting) in April.

Nominations for 2026’s Community Awards are now open! You can download the Nomination Form, pick up a copy from the Town Hall or contact sthomas@corsham.gov.uk to be emailed the form. Anyone who has won an award in the last five years is not eligible to be nominated again in 2026. A list of those winners is available below:

2025 Community Awards

The winners of 2025’s Awards are: Sheena Awdry for all she does for Gastard Village Hall; Simon Bray and Andrew Simpson for all they do for AFC Corsham; David Bolton for being Corsham’s First Responder; Sarah Gilmartin for running Creative Lunch for the community’s older and vulnerable people and The Clones for their fundraising musical performances and for supporting young musicians as part of that.

Emma Drage and Rachel White received a special Chair’s Award for setting up and running Corsham Youth Zone for the town’s young people.
