What the full Council does
Corsham Town Council aims to continually improve local services in order to meet the needs of residents and visitors to the area.
The Council works in partnership with a range of organisations, such as Wiltshire Council and the Police, to ensure that Corsham remains an attractive place to live, visit and work.
Decision making is carried out by 20 elected Members, who represent 13,000 people in five wards.
The Council is not party political, enabling each member to vote as an individual on all matters that concern the Town.
Responsibility is split into committees:
Finance and Administration
Property and Amenities
Planning (meetings include all members)
Day to day operations are carried out by 14 staff, supported by contractors for specialist jobs or where it is more cost effective. We also encourage volunteering where it is appropriate.
Full Council meetings take place on the second Monday of each month.
All Council meetings are currently being held online. To observe the meeting online, please click on the link on the Agenda or email firstname.lastname@example.org for instructions.
