Property & Amenities

What the Property and Amenities Committee does?

The Property and Amenities Committee is responsible for the following: open spaces, play areas, the skate park and BMX track, the outdoor gym, parkour area, the youth shelter, woodlands (The Batters and Beechfield Nature Area), the Lacock Road and Ladbrook Lane cemeteries, closed churchyards, memorials, bus shelters, some street furniture (Wiltshire Council is responsible for the majority), CCTV, grounds maintenance and other service delivery contracts, and the public realm.

The Committee is also a first point of call for highway improvement issues, maintenance issues and Traffic Regulation Orders (yellow lines/speed limits) and regularly makes recommendations (and provides funding) to Wiltshire Council’s Highways team for highway initiatives in the area.

Meetings are held every two months.

The Minutes below are draft versions until approved at the monthly Full Council meeting. Signed copies of the approved Minutes are available at the Town Hall during office hours.
