Corsham has been a Fairtrade town since 2012. In order to achieve Fairtrade status, the Fairtrade group, with representatives from Transcoco (now Corsham Climate Action), local churches and schools, collated a folder of evidence showing all the retailers, catering outlets, businesses and community groups who support Fairtrade. This was then submitted to the Fairtrade Foundation.

Fairtrade ensures that the producers of goods we cannot produce in the UK are given a fair price for their products; that their communities are supported and that producers are encouraged to use environmentally friendly farming methods.

Fairtrade is not a charity and almost all its work is funded by the money generated by fairly trading the products that are grown by Fairtrade producers, such as bananas, coffee, cocoa, nuts and cotton. You can buy thousands of Fairtrade products in Corsham’s vibrant town centre shops and catering outlets and outlying retailers, pubs and farm shops.

Transcoco’s Fairtrade Directory will help you find Fairtrade products in Corsham.
