Between 10-20 October, Corsham Town Council carried out a consultation exercise on a proposal to introduce 20mph speed limits in Neston. The consultation consisted of an online questionnaire on Survey Monkey and a drop-in event at the Memorial Hall. Thanks to everyone from the village who took part in the consultation and made time to give us their views. The consultation showed strong support for going ahead with the scheme, with 76.3% of respondents in favour of the initiative. As a result, the Town Council has decided to support the implementation of the proposed 20mph scheme and has written to Wiltshire Council’s Highways Team to convey this (Wiltshire Council were waiting for the Town Council’s support before proceeding). We will endeavour to keep residents up to date about when the scheme will be implemented.
