Corsham Town Centre 20mph Limits

Corsham Town Centre 20mph Limits

Corsham Town Council would like to hear your views on the possibility of introducing 20mph speed limits in the town centre. After consulting with residents to ascertain areas where they would like to see 20mph limits and working with Wiltshire Council’s Highways Department to see which roads would qualify, the Town Council has decided to propose a small scheme that would focus on the main thoroughfares through the town-centre, where pedestrian movements are highest. The scheme would cover:

Newlands Road – From its junction with Priory Street to Pickwick Road.

Pickwick Road – From the War Memorial to The Tynings.

Station Road – From its junction with Pickwick Road to Williams Grove.

Pound Pill – From the War Memorial to its junction with Stokes Road.

The consultation will run until Tuesday 26 September. You can let us know your views via a very short online survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Corsham20mphlimits

Alternatively, paper copies of the survey can be obtained at the Town Hall.

We will be launching the consultation with a stall on the High Street (in front of Alexander House) on Friday 8 September. Between 10am-4pm come and let us know your views, talk to Councillors, ask questions and discuss the proposed scheme.
